The Vacaville Police Department is currently accepting applications for Police Cadets! Police Cadets are volunteers between the ages of 14-20 with an interest in public safety, who are a Vacaville resident or attend school in Vacaville. All Cadets must be available to attend bi-weekly meetings held Wednesdays at 4:30pm. All applicants will go through an application review process to include a background check and oral interview. Once accepted into the program, Cadets will receive formal training

Update: Friday, Aug 20th On August 10, 2025, at approximately 7:40pm, City of Vacaville Police Department officers responded to reports of a shooting at a gas station in the 800 block of Leisure Town Road.
