New York Yankees infielder Jazz Chisholm Jr. detailed his perspective after he was doubled off at first base following a routine pop-up during the team's 2-0 loss to the Miami Marlins on Saturday.

The Marlins are just the fifth team in the wild card era to reach .500 in a season after being 16 or games underneath at some point prior in the year, according to Elias Sports. The New York Yankees will be adding an important piece back to the starting rotation on Sunday as Luis Gil is set to make his season debut against the Miami Marlins. Gil has missed the entire season up to this point due to a lat strain he sustained in the spring.

Gil stopped a bullpen session on Feb. 28 because of tightness in his pitching shoulder, and an MRI later revealed the lat strain. He was shut down from throwing for at least six weeks, and at the time the Yankees said he would not return until June at the earliest.

A projected close matchup pits the Yankees (-117 on the moneyline) against the Marlins (-103). The scheduled starters are Luis Gil for the New York Yankees, and Edward Cabrera (4-5) for the Miami Marlins.
