Pakistan claimed that India has fired missiles at three air bases in the country. But most of the missiles were intercepted and that retaliatory strikes on India were underway, it said as reported by news agency AP.

A complete blackout was enforced in Srinagar while residents of Jammu reeled under the sounds of explosions and blaring sirens as defence systems intercepted multiple Pakistani drones.

Pakistan said it launched a military operation against India early on Saturday, targeting multiple bases including a missile storage site in northern India as the neighbours extended their worst fighting in nearly three decades.
