As controversy continues to surround President Donald Trump‘s acceptance of a $400 million plane from Qatar, he touted another aviation deal with the Middle Eastern nation on Wednesday. Trump said during a signing ceremony that state-run Qatar Airways will buy 160 planes from Boeing,

“The Boeing 747 is being given to the United States Air Force/Department of Defense, NOT TO ME! It is a gift from a Nation, Qatar, that we have successfully defended for many years,” Trump said in a post on his social media platform, Truth Social, late on Tuesday, May 13.

Boeing just won a huge contract from Qatar. But the company is troubled on several fronts – the latest being delays on new Air Force One jets for the U.S. president.
