An off-duty New York City police officer suffered critical injuries when a father and son attacked him and stole his gun in the Bronx, NYPD says.

A second suspect wanted in connection to a violent attack and robbery of an off-duty NYPD officer in the Bronx was taken into custody, according to law enforcement sources.

Officer Chowdhury Nafees returned home from the intensive care unit on the same day police arrested the second suspect in his vicious beating.
