Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang revealed the RTX 50-series GPUs during a CES keynote this evening, announcing a $1,999 RTX 5090, a $999 RTX 5080, a $749 RTX 5070 Ti, and a $549 RTX 5070. Nvidia’s new RTX 5090 and RTX 5080 GPUs will both be available on January 30th, with the RTX 5070 Ti and RTX 5070 to follow in February.

NVIDIA unveiled the RTX 5000 Blackwell GPUs at its CES 2025 keynote, with four models set to launch sometime later in Q1. The RTX 5070 and 5070 Ti are aimed at the mid-range, with NVIDIA touting heady gains on both cards — the brand says the 5070 will deliver equivalent performance to the RTX 4090 thanks to the gains made with DLSS 4's multi-frame generation tech.

With CES coming to a close, there was a lot of new tech devices announced and that includes the 2025 lineup of ROG gaming laptops from ASUS, powered by the RTX 50-series GPUs that NVIDIA announced this week as well.

NVidia's RTX 5090 and 5080 will be out imminently, with the 5090 commanding a head-spinning $1,999 price tag. More economical 5070 and 5070 Ti options will follow in a couple of months; the 5070 will be a relatively modest $549.

The first Geekbench 6 results (via BenchLeaks on X) for Nvidia’s RTX 5090 laptop GPU are here. They show extremely poor performance consistency, though that's hardly surprising considering the early nature of the hardware and the test application.

Nvidia is truly masterful at one thing: perfectly showcasing the graphics cards at the launch of a new GPU generation. This isn’t bad in itself; after all, a fruit seller at the market also advertises his bright red apples as a real treat.
