Ricciardo failed to pick up a single point at the Singapore Grand Prix in what was another lacklustre weekend for RB, with the 35-year-old failing to make it through Q1 and being tasked with looking to make use of a potential early safety car – which never arrived.

Ricciardo’s body language post-race and emotion in his voice made it clear. This really may be it for him in F1.

The lap put the visibly emotional Ricciardo — a popular figure in F1 — in the spotlight ahead of a widely expected decision to replace him with RB's reserve driver Liam Lawson. It generated controversy too. Ricciardo finished outside the top 10 so the point isn’t credited to him in the standings.
