In 1968, Wallace ran for president as the candidate of the newly formed American Independent Party, with a platform focused on states’ rights, farmers, anti-elitism, and law and order.

And now word that thousands of California voters who meant to register as Independents instead may have accidentally registered with the American Independent Party. KRON 4’s Vicki Liviakis explains.
