With the basketball season over and the transfer portal started, Hubert Davis and his new general manager, Jim Tanner, have reached out to dozens of the 700+ NCAA men's players still in the portal. However, as of Tuesday morning, they have swung and whiffed again on one of the top guards in the portal, Dedan Thomas Jr.
Thomas, who is a two-time All Mountain West Conference player, is the most highly touted player McMahon has acquired in the transfer portal. The best player he aquired last season was Cam Carter who in his last year at Kansas State averaged 14.6 points per game on 39.1% field-goal shooting.
