After court battles led to unfavorable rulings on ICE tactics, birthright citizenship and other issues, the Trump administration appears ready to continuing pushing the limits of what judges will tolerate.

Attorneys for Gov. Gavin Newsom headed back to court Monday over President Donald Trump ’s use of the California National Guard to subdue protests in Los Angeles, a tactic the White House is now repeating in the nation’s capital in what’s it’s calling a crime crackdown.

After spending two days reviewing evidence, a California judge will use the third and last day of trial to examine the legality of the case.
