Faf du Plessis scored 50 off 27 balls as Delhi Capitals beat Sunrisers Hyderabad by seven wickets on Sunday to secure a second consecutive win in the Indian Premier League. The 40-year-old du Plessis hit three fours and three sixes as he put on 81 off 55 balls for the first wicket with Jake Fraser-McGurk (38) helping Delhi chase down the 164-run target with four overs to spare.

Sunrisers spinner Zeeshan Ansari dismissed both players on his IPL debut to put the brakes on with 3-42. However, Abishek Porel and Tristan Stubbs finished unbeaten on 34 and 21 respectively as they got Delhi over the line with 30 balls to spare.

With Abhishek Porel contributing an unbeaten 18-ball 34, DC comfortably eased to victory. For SRH, debutant Zeeshan Ansari stole the spotlight with a three wicket-haul. The leg spinner impressed by picking up both the openers and ended the day with figures of 3 for 42.
