DUBLIN – A pair of earthquakes rattled the East Bay on Monday night, according to the U.S. Geological Survey. The first quake – magnitude 3.9 – hit at 7:46 p.m. about 2.9 miles west-northwest of Dublin. A magnitude 2.9 quake then hit at 8:19 p.m. about 1.8 miles southeast of Pleasant Hill. There were no immediate reports of injuries or damage.

A preliminary magnitude 4.0 earthquake gave the San Francisco Bay Area a short jolt on Monday night. The quake hit shortly after 7:45 p.m. and was centered near Dublin, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.
