President Donald Trump on Tuesday reignited his threat for the federal government to “run” Washington, DC, after a former Department of Government Efficiency employee was assaulted in an attempted carjacking.

Two 15-year-old suspects have been arrested in connection with the attempted unarmed carjacking in Washington, D.C..

Trump threatened to impose federal control if local authorities don't act. The Metropolitan Police Department continues to investigate, seeking additional suspects.
