Authorities in Alabama helped catch a culprit with a distinctive hopping gait, reddish-brown fur and a pouch on Tuesday after the suspect caused a two-vehicle crash on Interstate 85. Macon County Sheriff André Brunson filmed a social media live stream from the scene.

A runaway kangaroo shut down a stretch of interstate in Alabama on Tuesday. The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency said the kangaroo was spotted hopping along Interstate 85 in Macon County, which is just east of Montgomery.
