Before details of McConnell’s hospitalization came to light, Jennings said on X — roughly three weeks later — that he spoke to his “old friend” during an around 20-minute phone call, in which the two discussed Iran, Ukraine, Senate history and other topics.
It has now been two full months since Senator Mitch McConnell suffered a fall and was rushed to the hospital in Washington, D.C.
