The long awaited deadline for the REAL ID requirement at U.S. airports has arrived, but passengers without the security measure on their identification can still pass through security, but with a catch.

The Real ID deadline is fast approaching and most travelers at Logan Airport are already equipped with their new identification.

The Transportation Security Administration on Wednesday began enforcing new rules requiring air travelers to present a Real ID or other federally approved form of identification to board domestic flights.
