Shedeur Sanders was selected 144th overall by the Cleveland Browns in the fifth round of the 2025 NFL draft. He joins a crowded quarterback room that includes Deshaun Watson, Joe Flacco and Kenny Pickett. The Browns also drafted Dillon Gabriel in the third round, creating serious competition for snaps in training camp and beyond.
Kevin Stefanski and the team's coaching staff currently has four quarterbacks working to win the Week 1 starting job. Along with Sanders, the Browns have Joe Flacco, Kenny Pickett, and Dillon Gabriel in the competition. Deshaun Watson is also on the roster, but he's not expected to play this year.
