Robert Morris’ Amarion Dickerson came into the NCAA Tournament known as one of the nation’s best shot blockers after being chosen the Horizon League’s Defensive Player of the Year.

The fact that Dickerson kept Robert Morris in the game was more impressive considering the Colonials’ slow start. After opening the game with that 1-of-8 stretch, RMU found its shot, making 15 of its next 31 over the remainder of the first half. Alabama nursed a narrow 40-36 lead at that point.
