Tioga Road, the popular and scenic section of Highway 120 that allows access to the eastern side of Yosemite National Park, will open on Memorial Day, the National Park Service announced on its website Thursday.

Chinook and Cayuse Passes are officially open for the season—just in time for Memorial Day weekend travel. The Washington State Department of Transportation made the announcement online Friday morning. Each year, the passes close because of adverse road conditions and high avalanche risk. Both passes have been closed since October 31.

Since the Palisades Fire, Pacific Coast Highway has only been open to first responders, construction crews and local residents.
