There has been no change to the tariffs hitting Canada and Mexico on Wednesday, according to a U.S. Administration official. The U.S. neighbors are still subject to 25% tariffs on goods that don’t comply with the U.

Canada must stand in solidarity with the international community to exert collective pressure on the U.S. A co-ordinated global response could compel Trump to reconsider his unilateral trade policies.

Canada says it has started imposing a 25% tariff on certain vehicle imports from the US, retaliating against a similar measure from its neighbour.The tariffs - or import taxes - will be paid by Canadians who buy some automobiles or their parts from the US.
