A Powerball ticket sold in Missouri won $50,000 but just missed the $20 million jackpot, lottery officials say. The ticket matched four winning numbers and the Powerball in the drawing Monday, March 31, the Missouri Lottery said.

The odds of hitting the Powerball jackpot are more than 292 million to 1. A player who buys a $2 ticket has about a 1 in 11,688,053 chance to match five numbers but not the Powerball and win a second-prize of at least $1 million. The odds of winning a third prize of at least $50,000 are 913,129 to 1.

The $526.5 million was revised upward from initial reports that pegged it at around $515 million, the Powerball website said.

The lucky ticket was purchased at a 7-Eleven store located at 763 North Euclid Street in Anaheim. The retail location also earns a max bonus of $1 million for selling the jackpot-winning ticket.

Two $1 million Powerball prizes capped off a lucky weekend for Georgia lottery players. Two tickets sold in the Peach State matched five numbers but not the Powerball in the March 29 drawing, narrowly missing the estimated $527 million jackpot, the Georgia Lottery said. A winning Powerball ticket worth $50,000 will soon expire if it’s not claimed by Thursday afternoon. State lottery officials say the winning ticket was purchased at the Spinx (360 E. 5th North Street) in Summerville on October 5 of last year.
