It had been two months and 13 days since Nico Harrison publicly addressed his decision to trade Luka Doncic to the Los Angeles Lakers. The controversial choice met widespread backlash, vitriol from a distraught fan base and a persistent outcry that Dallas Mavericks majority owner Miriam Adelson and governor Patrick Dumont should relieve Harrison of his duties as general manager.

The Dallas Mavericks are scheduled to play the Kings in Sacramento on Wednesday in the NBA’s Play-In Tournament, but at this point they would be wise to cite too many players have COVID and opt out of this postseason.

According to Briauna Brown of CBS News, Harrison had a private roundtable discussion with media members Monday, and he doubled down on his decision to make the controversial trade, saying: "There's no regrets on the trade. Part of it is doing the best thing for the Mavs."
