The biggest opportunity of the night came in the third inning, as the Mets had Diamondbacks starter Zac Gallen on the ropes. Back-to-back-to-back walks by Gallen forced in a run, but Starling Marte—who hit cleanup in this one—came up empty as he struck out on three pitches with the bases loaded with Francisco Lindor,
