Following their Inter Miami’s 3-0 defeat to Orlando Pirates, Lionel Messi has slammed the referee, saying he did not know the back-pass rule. It was a back-pass that led to one of the goals, as Inter Miami fell to a 3-0 MLS home defeat to Orlando City on Sunday.

Inter Miami were met with a 3-0 defeat against Orlando City in the Major League Soccer on May 18 at Chase Stadium. This marked to be Inter Miami's third loss in their last five MLS matches. To add to their list of bad runs, the Herons also got eliminated from the Concacaf Champions Cup semifinal.

Lionel Messi isn’t happy right now. After Inter Miami was routed 3-0 by Orlando on Sunday night and fell to 1-5-1 in its last seven matches across all competitions, the eight-time Ballon d’Or winner and 2022 World Cup champion told Apple TV that it’s imperative for the team to stick together.
