Pixar's 'Elio' has so much promise to be a fun intergalactic kids' movie. But it follows the same formula of past Pixar movies and plays it too safe.

What I saw in the trailers seemed like a story I wouldn’t be interested in, and many have said it didn’t seem like a very “Pixar” story, but it is indeed a good film that feels like a Pixar movie. The lack of good marketing and past failure has likely harmed the potential box office for this film.
