China has demanded that Taiwan compensate Chinese fishermen for losses after a Taiwanese navy landing ship and a Chinese fishing boat collided outside restricted waters last week.

Taiwan detected increased Chinese military activity with 16 aircraft sorties, 9 naval vessels, and 2 official ships, of which 15 crossed into Taiwan's ADIZ. This follows a previous day of heightened activity involving 59 aircraft and 23 naval vessels.
