A suspect has been arrested and charged in the wake of the Minnesota lawmaker shootings involving the deaths of Rep. Melissa Hortman and her husband Mark and the injury of Sen. John Hoffman and his wife Yvette.

Vance Luther Boelter, the 57-year-old man suspected of shooting two Minnesota lawmakers and their spouses at their residences in the early hours of Saturday morning, was taken into custody Sunday evening,

Boelter, 57, was arrested at about 9 p.m. June 15. He is accused of shooting the two Democratic state legislators and their spouses in the early morning hours of June 14. The Minnesota State Patrol took him into custody in rural Sibley County, roughly 60 miles southwest of Minneapolis.
