Harris County is investigating its first measles case since 2019. It's a child under the age of 18 with no travel history.

The Texas public health department is now reporting a total of 422 measles cases in the ongoing outbreak that began in Gaines County. The outbreak has now spread to two additional counties, both in the center of the state.

The Texas health department reported 422 cases of measles in the state on Tuesday, an increase from 400 in its previous count on March 28, as the United States battles one of the largest outbreaks of the disease in the past decade.
